Wallflower is absolutely beautiful. It’s more than just a romance book, it’s about a journey of love, acceptance, finding your confidence and believing in your dreams.
Violet is shy, selfless and has so much love to give. She gave up her dream to look after her dad, she blushes at everything and is the nicest person. You can’t help but want to take her under your wing and protect her from everything.
Chord puts on a cold, grumpy and egocentric persona to protect himself, but he’s nothing like that when he’s home. Chord quickly melts that persona when he’s back home, with his family, in his own space. We see a different side to him and it just makes you melt.
I absolutely loved these two. I think Chord gives Violet the confidence and builds her up, gives her his everything and supports her to no end. Even if it means breaking his own heart. Violet does the exact same thing for Chord, she gives him the reassurance he’s needed for so long, love and support he hasn’t had in a very long time. She slowly makes him human, vulnerable and I’m here for it.
Samantha Leigh always delivers with her characters, plot, world building and emotional connection. She makes the readers fall for her characters and they are so relatable.
This is definitely the kind of book I will reread, recommend and shout from the rooftops. Everyone needs to read this.
I cannot recommend this book and author enough!
Just read it. Right now.
